Harold Martell Richey, Jr.

Harold Martell Richey, Jr., 70, of Topeka, died Sunday, July 23, 2017, at his home. He was born August 6, 1946, at Nevada, MO, the son of Nannie “Lucille” (Witcher) and Harold Martell Richey, Sr.

Harold graduated from Highland Park High School and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He attended plumbing school and worked for Plumbing by Carlson until his retirement. He was a 45 year member of Union Local # 441.

Harold was married to Susan and they later divorced. He was married to Pamela Sue (Hoffman) Deiter on July 27, 1985, in Willard. He will be remembered as being a loving and devoted husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Richey, of the home; children: Megan Richey, Rich Deiter (Julie), Tammy Graves, and Harold Richey III all of Topeka; brothers: Ronnie Richey (Navella) of Topeka, and Ed Richey of Great Bend; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 28, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Maple Hill.

Harold will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
