Delbert Todd Heath, 85, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014.

He was born April 18, 1929 in Topeka, the son of Clarence and Myrtle Faye (Wells) Heath. He was a graduate of Topeka High School. He attended Clark’s Business School.

Mr. Heath was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company retiring after 40 years of service.

He was a life-long member of United Rubber Workers Local Union No. 307.

Delbert married Ethel Leenor Givens in 1950. They were divorced. He married Barbara Waetzig Higgins. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Dennis (Donna) Heath; and a daughter, Deborah (Anthony) Hensley all of Topeka; five grandchildren, Dennis (Jennifer) Heath, Amy Heath Dodd, Kathleen (Jason) Hensley Bivens, David (Dawn) Graf and Tera (Mark) Randall; eight great-grandchildren, Brecken and Hawthorne Heath, Madison Dodd, Brighton and Lily Bivens, Miranda, McKenzie Graf and T.J. Randall; three step-children, Cheryl (Don) Boling, Topeka, Shelley (Barry) O’Leary, Grand Junction, CO and Charles (Lori) Higgins, Topeka; 11step-grandchildren, and 20 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a half-sister and a step-daughter, Carla Higgins.

Mr. Heath was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Private inurnment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
