He was born November 14, 1922, near Fairland, Oklahoma, the son of Aubrey and Elsie Angel Brim.
Aubrey graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1941. He attended Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg, Kansas, until his enlistment as a private in the United States Army Air Corps. on August 1, 1942. He graduated from flight school as a first lieutenant on December 5, 1923.
Aubrey married his high school sweetheart, Betty Jean Forrester on December 7, 1943, in Pittsburg, Kansas. Two days after their marriage, Aubrey deployed to the Pacific Theatre of War for the remainder of WWII. She preceded him in death on March 30, 2013.
He was employed by the Goodyear & B.F. Goodrich Tire & Rubber Companies. He was a member of the Arab Shrine Temple in Topeka, and participated in the Jesters and Legion of Honor, and was a member of First Christian Church in Topeka.
Survivors include a son, Mitchell (Shelee) Brim, of Shawnee, Kansas; daughter, Susan (Bill) Morris, of Canadian, Texas; grandchildren, Amie (Nicholas) Thomas, of Canadian, Texas, Kourtney (Stephen) Martin, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Colby Brim, of Shawnee, Kansas; and great-grandchildren, Sterling, Scarlett, and Stella Thomas, and Mitchell and Julia Martin.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Wynona Bell.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospitals Travel Fund c/o Arab Shriners, 1305 South Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66612-1332.
