1932 - 2018

Robert (Bob) Franklin Bennett of Topeka , KS age 85, passed away October 6, 2018 at Oakley Place Two.

He was born in Chanute, KS December 14, 1932.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette of 65 years last May. He is also survived by Daughter, Terrie Bennett, Topeka and Son Frank Bennett (Janet) of Blue Eye, MO, Grandchildren, Cher Baker (Jeff), Jeremy Bennett (Beth) , Travis Bennett (Sherri) all of the Kansas City, MO area, and ten Great Grandchildren.

Bob proudly served his Country in the US Air Force for 20 years, then at Goodyear for 21 years. Bob loved his family and the involvement in their life’s, he was of Southern Baptist faith, and was a Life Long Sports fan, especially KU Basketball.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the care, thoughts and prayers during Bob’s long illness. With special Thanks to Kansas Hospice for the loving treatment given to Bob .

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St. Topeka, KS.
Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to First Southern Baptist Church, 1912 SW Gage, Topeka, KS 66604 and Kansas Palliative And Hospice Care, 2611 SW 17th St, #205, Topeka, KS. 66604.
