Janice G. Russo, 72, Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017.

She was born July 3, 1945, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Elby Gene Howey and Anna Mae (Faught) LaRue. She attended Highland Park High School.

Mrs. Russo was a member of the Shawnee County Allied Tribes, Red Feather Circle and Kansas Prairie Pickers Association.

Janice married David E. Russo on July 31, 1965 in Malboro, MA. He survives. Other survivors include three daughters: Tina Hallenbeck, Corrie Russo and Melissa Russo; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Bonnie Odgers.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Howey and great-granddaughter, Kylie Viergever.

Graveside services will be 12:00 noon, Thursday September 7, 2017 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 17th & Fairlawn. Janice will lie in state after 3:00 pm Wednesday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm followed by spiritual sending.
