He was born December 26, 1941 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Harold Kuhn and Doris (Ingels) Goudy. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam.
He was employed by Meier’s Ready Mix in Topeka and Holton, retiring in 2003.
Larry married Barbara Greemore on October 29, 1964 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2007. He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Kuhn on July 18, 2011 and his parents. Survivors include a daughter, Patty (Bert) Lanum; two sons, Fred Kuhn and Willie (Dianna) Kuhn; his brother, Darryl (Beverly) Kuhn; his sister, Judy (Kenneth) Kearns; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Larry will lie in state after 3 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Rock Creek Bible Church, 5257 Highway K92, Meriden, KS 66512. Private inurnment will be at Meriden Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rock Creek Bible Church or to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
