Timothy Scott Haskins, aged 55, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, embraced by the love of family and friends. Born on July 7th, 1970, in Bagley, Minnesota, Timothy was the son of Don and Karen ‘Kay’ (Kilgor) Haskins. His formative years were spent in Topeka, where he attended Topeka High School, laying the foundation for a life marked by dedication and pride.
Tim honorably served his country in the United States Navy as a fireman, earning the distinguished title of Shellback—a testament to his service, bravery, and commitment. A proud American patriot, he held a special place in his heart for the 4th of July, embracing every opportunity to express his love for his nation.
In his professional life, Tim founded American Pride Janitorial, a company through which he devoted himself to serving the Topeka community with integrity and compassion. Beyond his professional endeavors, he found peace in the great outdoors fishing and hunting. He was also a member of the Kansas Bow Hunters Association, and a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals.
Tim’s vibrant personality was marked by an infectious smile and a keen sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around him. He would take every chance he could to tell a joke…even if he was the only one laughing! Though occasionally mischievous, he was selfless and loyal. He always put others before himself, and would take the shirt off his back for someone in need.
Tim is survived by his children, Dillon and Jessica Haskins, grandchildren, Joselynn Rae Haskins (Amanda Timmons) and Nathan Kayne Berry-Brune (Sean Berry-Brune), sister, Tammy (Steve) aunt, Lonnie McKinney, loyal dog companion Buddy, Navy comrade, Chris Cushing, as well as many close cousins, nieces, and nephews-all of whom will miss him very much.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life for Tim will take place on Saturday, July 11th, 2026. Time and location are to be determined. Please check back here.
