Sherra Stapleton, a vibrant spirit born on July 9, 1978, in Topeka, Kansas, left this world on October 16, 2025, leaving a legacy filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Known for her stubbornness and her big heart—a heart of gold—Sherra made an indelible mark on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Sherra was a woman of many passions. She reveled in the great outdoors, finding joy in camping and fishing. Those moments spent under the open sky became cherished memories, filled with laughter and the tranquility of nature. Her beloved dog, Junior, was never far from her side, bringing her immeasurable joy and companionship on adventures and quiet evenings alike. Sherra appreciated the simple pleasure of hanging out with her friends, always creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie that allowed anyone to feel welcome. Her love for music of all kinds reflected her diverse spirit, as she enjoyed tunes that transcended genres and brought people together.

Sherra is survived by her brother, Chris Stapleton, who will carry forth her legacy and cherish the bond they shared. She leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will remember her not just for her delightful personality, but also for the kindness and warmth she extended to each of them.

Predeceased by her beloved father, Michael Stapleton, and her cherished mother, Rita (Weaver) Stapleton, Sherra is welcomed into eternity by her maternal grandparents, Fletcher and Addie Weaver, and paternal grandparents, Wilber and Betty Stapleton. Together, they will undoubtedly embrace her with open arms, as they did during her earthly journey.

As we remember Sherra, let us celebrate a life lived to the fullest—a life rich in adventure, friendship, and love. Her spirit continues to touch our hearts, as we carry forward her memory and the many lessons she shared—about optimism, love, and the importance of every moment. Sherra Stapleton may have departed from this world, but the light she brought into our lives will shine on forever.
