Ruben James Bennett, a beloved husband and devoted father left this world on November 30, 2025, at Midland Care Hospice House, at the tender age of 29. Born on June 15, 1996, in Topeka, Kansas, Ruben's life was marked by his genuine spirit and kind heart.
Having dedicated almost nine years to his career at Home Depot Distribution, he was not only admired for his work ethic but also remembered for his warmth and generosity. Ruben obtained his GED in 2012, followed by a degree in auto mechanics from Washburn Tech, reflecting his drive for self-improvement and commitment to his family.
Ruben possessed a personality that lit up every room he entered. He was a man who truly never knew a stranger, always welcoming everyone with open arms. His kindness was limitless; he was ready to lend a hand without hesitation, embodying a spirit of selflessness that touched all who knew him. Ruben was also fiercely competitive and passionate about his hobbies, which included riding side by sides, four-wheeling, being an avid watcher of demolition derbies, skateboarding, and his knack for fixing anything he could get his hands on.
As a husband to his loving wife, Samantha Bennett, and as a father to their treasured daughter, Allie Bennett, Ruben's proudest accomplishments were found in the joy of family life. He was the best father anyone could wish for—nurturing, supportive, and endlessly loving. His family meant everything to him, and his legacy will undoubtedly continue through the love and memories they shared together.
Ruben is survived by his wife, Samantha Bennett; his daughter, Allie Bennett; his father, Ruben Nelson Bennett Jr.; his sister, Chelsea Gore; and his brothers, Josh Reed, Anthony Reed, and Ian Reed. He is also survived by his great grandmother, Violet Ray, whose love he cherished deeply.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Melanie Willige; little brother Kristopher Reed; his grandfather, Rusty Ray; and his great grandfather, Alfred Ray. Though they are now apart, Ruben’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. His infectious smile and unwavering kindness will be missed dearly—a gentle soul who made the world a better place simply by being in it.
