Robert Claybourne Cash, 91, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 surrounded by love.

He was born on April 24, 1935 to Charlie C. and Sybil A. Cash (Cunningham) in McClean, Texas. Growing up he attended Clarendon Highschool where he graduated in 1954.

A Veteran, Robert proudly served in the US Army from 1955-1958.

On September 23, 1955 he married the love of his life, Glenna (Dingler) in Clarendon, Texas. Together they had two daughters, Tammy and Gina. Robert was a manager for the Santa Fe Railroad for 32 years. This took the family to Amarillo, Texas, then Topeka, Kansas, then Albuquerque, New Mexico, and eventually back to Topeka.

In his spare time Robert was an avid fisherman and hunter. Him and Glenna loved spending time together going for walks in the park, traveling, and indulging in their favorite Baskin Robins ice cream.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of more than 70 years, Glenna, two daughters, Tammy (Harry) Lewis and Gina Cash, grandson, Christopher Lewis, and nephew, Steven Seets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sybil, and sister, Marie Seets.

A graveside inurnment with military honors will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th street, Topeka, KS 66604. Services are still pending and will be updated here, please check back.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kansas Department of Wildlife Fish and Fisheries Fund.
