Robert D. Burgess

Robert D. Burgess, 92, of Scranton, Kansas passed away on November 24th, 2025 surrounded by love.

He was born in Wamego, Kansas, the son of Fred and Hattie Burgess (Hensrouth).

He married Leona E. Burgess in 1955 in Topeka, Kansas. They moved to Lawrence for several years before moving to Scranton, Kansas. Robert also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include his daughter, Judy Mundy, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends, all of whom will miss him very much.

Robert is proceeded in death by his loving wife, Leona, his parents, Fred and Hattie, and three daughters, Nancy Morgan, Patty Canuk, and Cathy Burgess.

Robert's wishes were to be cremated. A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
