Ralph Dean Vinson, 69, passed away on August 30, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on February 14, 1957, in Fort Riley, Kansas.

Ralph graduated from Manhatten High School in 1975. He spent more than 30 years working in furniture moving and storage, giving many years of steady work and dedication to his job. He was a simple man and a good husband, and those who knew him will remember the way he carried himself with quiet strength.

He enjoyed watching war documentaries and was a bit of a history buff. He also enjoyed telling stories, and his sense of humor was part of what made him memorable. He was funny at times, though you never quite knew if he was joking or serious because he always seemed to be smirking. Ralph also showed his dedication to his country by always putting his American flag out on every holiday.

More than anything, Ralph loved being with his grandkids. Time with family meant a great deal to him, and those moments will remain treasured by the people who knew and loved him best.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Linda Hill, and by his daughter, Tammie Coverdill. He is also survived by his sisters, Ruth Knowlton and Caroline Murry, and by his brothers, Steven Vinson and Jimmy Vinson. His memory will also be cherished by his grandsons, Dalton Force, Mason Force, and Ty Force, and by his great-granddaughter, Oakley Force. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Vison; his father, Douglas E. Vinson; his sister, Ute Richards; and his brother, Douglas Vinson.

Ralph Dean Vinson will be remembered for his love of family, his stories, his quiet humor, and the steady presence he brought to those around him. His life touched many, and he will be deeply missed.
