Paul R. Robertson, 77, of Berryton KS, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025 in Topeka KS.
Paul was born October 22, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas, raised by Emery and Iva Robertson. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1965 and attended Washburn University. He later earned his apprenticeship with the Santa Fe Railroad.
Paul was employed through Santa Fe Railroad for 30+ years until he retired. During his time at Sante Fe he gained a love of trains.
Mr. Robertson was a member of the TCU/IAM Union and the Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene.
Paul is survived by his wife Vera Jane Robertson (Sewell), who he married on July 15, 1967 in Topeka KS. Other survivors include his son, Ryan (Angela) Robertson; grandchildren, Turner and Arianna Robertson; half siblings, Jim (Linda) Hollenbeck, Christine Hollenbeck, Joyce (Don) Holdeman; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, half siblings, Roxie Hubbard and Susan Baum.
Paul loved his family and always enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s games . In his free time, you could find him in the garage engaged in woodworking. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, volunteering for his church, or playing golf with friends and family. His years at the railroad led him to collect and build numerous model trains that his family will have memories to enjoy for several years. Paul created many memories throughout the years traveling with his family and friends.
On Friday October 10, 2025, a visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m., at the Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610. Snacks and refreshments will be provided during visitation. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, in Topeka.
