Mildred Beckwith

Mrs. Mildred Ailene Beckwith, 84, Topeka, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005. She was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Clay County, the daughter of William Stephen and Leah Zelda Buchanan Yocum. She married Victor E. Beckwith. He preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Roberta Maxwell and Doris Hubert, both of Topeka, and Judy Carver, Lincoln, Calif.; a sister, Iris Yocum, Topeka; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A committal service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Beckwith will lie in state from noon Sunday to noon Monday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence.
