Michael John Schrenk

Michael John Schrenk passed away on August 27, 2026. Mike was the youngest of four children, born on October 7, 1960, to Virginia and Kermit Schrenk.

Mike grew up in the Oakland neighborhood and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1978. He went to work for Hallmark Cards after graduation and worked there for more than 30 years until he left the workforce.

He was an avid race fan, NASCAR in particular. Mike took pride in his 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and participated in many car shows. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, and photography. He was a collector of Christmas ornaments, coins, and vintage magazines.

Mike is survived by his sisters, Cindy Langford (Terry) and Tammy Schrenk, nieces, a nephew, and their children. He was preceded in death by his brother, K.C. Schrenk Jr.; sister-in-law, Diana Schrenk; and his parents.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 9th from 6:00-8:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave. in Topeka. A private inurnment will follow at a later date.
