Marlene Ann Clemmer entered this world on August the 8th a Monday in 1932 at 3:53 AM to the proud parents James Morris and Erna Louise (Gramke) Clemmer.
Being Baptized at birth she was confirmed into the Lutheran Church in 1944. She graduated from Emporia High School in 1951. She graduated from Newman School of Nursing in 1954 as an RN. As a Red Cross nurse she attended to patients after the Udall Tornado in 1955.
Having grown up in Emporia, KS she left the state to seek her fortune by enlisting in the Air Force in 1957. She retired from the Air Force on May 31, 1977 after 20 years of service.
Having married and divorced, she reclaimed her maiden name in 1985. No Children were born to this union.
On October 16, 2025 at St Francis Hospital in Wichita, Ks she died in her sleep at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 8 days.
Marlene is preceded in death by her parents James Morris and Erna Louise Clemmer, one brother James Eugene Clemmer and one sister Doris Eilien Lowe.
Marlene is survived by one sister Erna Doreen Sutton of California and one brother Danny Lee Clemmer of Kansas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, 11:00 am at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Topeka, Kansas, with Father Wright Andy, officiating.
Committal will follow service following service at Mount Hope Cemetery.
It is suggested that donations be made to your local Humane Society instead of flowers.
