Marcelle A. Johnston (1923-2004) passed away at home in Auburn, KS on November 28, 2004.
Beloved wife of Floyd Johnston, sister to Mr. Richard Hoffmeister, sister-in-law to Mrs. Lorene Hoffmeister, all of Topeka, KS. Mother to Mrs. Janet Weaver of Laurel, MD; Rev. Carol Beattie of Ellenwood, GA; Mrs. Susan West, of Savannah, GA; Mrs. Ruth Tracy of Decatur, GA; Stepmother to Ms. Janet Van Oosten of Topeka, KS; and Mrs Diana Favland of Belton, MO. She had 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Wakarusa, KS. During her lifetime she tinted photograpghs in Topeka, made custom drapes by hand, and enjoyed making quilts. A funeral service will be held at the Auburn United Methodist Church in Auburn, KS at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2. There will be a private burial. In lieu of flowers, contributions shoild be made to the Salvation Army, 1320 SE. 6th St., P.O. Box 599, Topeka. KS 66601-0599 or to Auburn United Methodist Church, 240 8th St., Auburn, KS 66409
