Lynn Kay Stanley

Lynn Stanley, 81, of Topeka, passed away on June 7, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 6, 1943 to Ken & Marian Anderson at Stormont Vail in Topeka, KS.

Lynn worked as a Stenographer for Topeka, KS for ten years and then spent 25+ years working at the Menniger Foundation as a clinical secretary in the office with one of her best friends Becky Remy.

Lynn Stanley was a loving daughter, friend, wife, mother, and grandmother who brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her. She was married to the love of her life, James Stanley, for 55 wonderful years, and they shared a special bond, having been married on Halloween—one of their favorite holidays to decorate and celebrate together. Lynn had a vibrant spirit and loved dancing, taking scenic drives through the country, and spending time with family—especially visiting loved ones in Arkansas and her daughter in Oklahoma. A fan of classic country music, Lynn cherished the timeless voices of George Jones, Conway Twitty, and Johnny Cash, and had a deep love for Elvis and good old rock and roll. Her heart was full of love, and her greatest joy came from being a devoted wife, caring mother, and a proud grandmother.

Lynn is survived by her loving husband; James, daughters; Jennifer (Dustin) Roberts, Jamie Stanley-Collins, Jackie Teaford (Mike), son; Jim Stanley, grandchildren; Tinley Roberts, TJ Roberts, Laya Stanley-Collins, Ashley (Zach) Davis, Heather Teaford, Bryce Teaford (Molly), Amanda Stanley, great grandchildren; Zane Davis, Jackson Davis, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; Kenneth Anderson, mother; Marian Anderson, Stepmother Mary Jo Anderson, Brother Kenneth Anderson, and granddaughter Kelsie Claire Stanley-Collins.
