Lloyd L. Morris, a cherished husband, father and grandfather, passed away on June 12, 2025 at the University of Kansas Health System - St. Francis Campus. He was 91 years old.

He was born on April 14, 1934 to Clyde and Gussie (Shelton) Morris in Ottawa, KS. His family relocated to Lawrence, KS, where he spent his early childhood years. They later moved to Topeka, KS where he graduated from Topeka High School and Washburn University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Lloyd served in the U.S. Army as a Guided Missile Crewman from 1954-1956 and subsequently served in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1962.

As a business owner of Air Conditioning, Inc., Lloyd installed heating and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings and residential homes. Previously, he had worked for State Farm Insurance and Kansas Power & Light as a sales representative.

On January 1, 1955, Lloyd celebrated New Years Day by marrying the love of his life, Marilyn Ann Jameson. They made their home in Topeka where they raised their three sons.

Lloyd served as a Boy Scout leader and was a past member of the Topeka Jaycees. He belonged to several bridge clubs throughout the years and brought a very lively, competitive spirit to their meetings. Another hobby he enjoyed immensely was fishing. One of Lloyd’s special memories was salmon fishing while on a trip to Alaska with Marilyn. He also loved gardening, playing the ukulele and guitar, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde E. Morris, mother, Gussie L. Morris, brother, Clyde L. Morris and sister, Loretta Cain.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marilyn, and sons, Richard D. Morris (Pat), Brad K. Morris (Karen), and Steven R. Morris (Cindy).
