Leroy Alberto Bibby passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the Colmery-O'Neil Veterans' Administration Medical Center in Topeka, Ks.

He was born on January 7, 1935, in Colorado City, Tx to Homer Bibby and Ella (McFerrin) Bibby.

After high school, where he participated in football and track, he served in the Air Force in the 93d Fighter Interceptor Squadron, during the Korean War. This is where his impressive knowledge of electronic repair began.

In 1982 he married Bertha (Epperson) Bissell and worked as a Two-Way Radio Technician in the telecommunications industry for 27 years until he retired in 1997.

In his spare time, Leroy greatly enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. He was very passionate about his faith in God and loved cheering for the KC Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.

Leroy will always be remembered for his willingness to help anyone in need, near and far, without hesitation.

He is proceeded in death by his mother and father, brother Elvie Dell, sisters Shirley and Wanda Faye, and his son Keith.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha, children Letha, Peggy, Tammy, Katha, Wendell, David, Jerri, and Jana, as well as his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
