Kevin David Hamm passed away at Stormont Vail Hospital on April 1, 2026, following an illness. He was born on September 22, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas.

Proceeded in death by his parents Charles and Beth Hamm, brother Doug Hamm, and spouse Debbie Hamm. His siblings are Noel Hamm, Dana Baughman and Sharon Hamm.

He attended Topeka High School. He graduated from Washburn University with an associate degree in Radiological Technology. While attending school he worked as a security guard at the State Hospital. After his schooling he worked at the Topeka Veteran Affairs hospital for 15 years as an X-ray technician.

Survived by his three children Jason Hamm, Middletown Delaware, Ryan Hamm, Eudora Kansas and Ashley Ashford, Topeka Kansas. He had five grandchildren. Lucas Hamm, Philip Hamm, Ava Hamm, Alexander Hamm and Nola Ashford. Son in law Jordan Ashford and daughter in law Net Hamm.

Kevin enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, loved the Kansas City Chiefs, Jayhawks and Kansas City Royals. He loved playing guitar and going to concerts. He was his son’s baseball coach for many years and played on a baseball team at the VA with his coworkers. He enjoyed traveling and fishing.

There will be a celebration of life with family and friends for Kevin on 6/13/26 from 12-3pm at Community Church 1819 SW 21st Street Topeka, Kansas, 66614.
