Kathleen J. Hermann, 90, Topeka, died March 16, 2012, at Autumn Home Plus alongside her family. She was born May 30, 1921, in Topeka, along with twin sister, Patricia, the daughter of Harry E. and Anna Hill Kline. She grew up in Topeka and attended Lowman Hill Elementary and Boswell Jr. High. She was a 1939 graduate of Topeka High School and attended Washburn University.
On November 10, 1948, in Topeka, Kathleen married Mac Henry Hermann and moved to Tucson, AZ, where she lived for 18 years, before returning to Topeka in May 1967. Kathleen was a member of First Christian Church in Topeka. She was also a member of Preceptor Alpha Psi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Santa Fe Old Timers Club. Kathleen had worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka, Southern Pacific Railroad in Tucson, and retired from Santa Fe Railroad when she returned to Topeka. She is survived by son, Randall George Hermann, Topeka; daughter, Terri Lynn Brady, Mojave, CA; a step-granddaughter; and twin sister, Patricia Ann Kennedy, Topeka.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Kathleen will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
