June Tebbutt June 11, 1941- March 7, 2026 June Tebbutt, 84, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 at her home at Brewster Place in Topeka, Kansas.
June was born on June 11, 1941, in Peabody, Kansas, the daughter of James and Neola (Langvardt) Hannay.
She graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn University. After retiring from long careers with both Menningers and Kansas Gas Service, she spent many hours volunteering at the gift shop at Stormont Vail Hospital as well as at McEachron Elementary School.
On July 1,1960, June married Harold Tebbutt at Lowman United Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas, After sharing 57 years of marriage, he passed away on July 17, 2017. Their marriage was blessed with three loving daughters.
June was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and a member of Lowman United Methodist Church.
June is survived by her three daughters: Amy (Curt) Skoog, Jennifer (Don) Downer, Becky Tebbutt (John Berberich); four grandchildren: Allison (August) Sukolics, Reed (Sarah) Skoog, Will (Jackie) Skoog, Drew Tebbutt-Berberich; five great- grandchildren: Piper, Ada, Townes, Maren and Gillian Sukolics and four bonus grandchildren: Matthew Blum, Elena (Peter) Blum, Clare Crockett and Evan Crockett. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Sherry Hannay.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Richard Hannay, James (Frances) Hannay lll, Carol (Lee) Schnacker.
June's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and bonus grandchildren. Her caring personality and infectious smile will be missed by all whose many lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00pm, March 28, 2026 at The Chapel at Brewster Place, 1001 SW 29th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66611.
