Janice Arlene Slavin

Janice Arlene Miller, born May 12, 1950, in Girard, Kansas, passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 75.

Janice was born to Jeptha and Christine Miller in Girard, where she spent her early years and graduated from Girard High School. She carried the values of her hometown with her throughout her life.

Janice loved her family fearlessly and was known for her warmth, strength, and devotion. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her loved ones. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, creating lasting memories with each of them.

Janice is survived by her children, Jennifer, Christa, and Billy; her nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “GiGi.” She was preceded in death by the love of her life, William Slavin.

Services will be held at a later date.

Janice will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
