Janice Mary Rickel

Janice Mary Rickel, 87, of Topeka, KS, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 23, 2025, at Topeka's St. Francis Hospital. Janice was born in Topeka on May 25, 1938, graduated from Hoyt, KS High School in 1956, and, later, attended the Clarks School of Business for two years. Janice retired from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and was a long-time member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Janice will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and long-time neighbors at the Brentwood Apartments.

Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Rickel, and her parents, Grace and Harold Rickel. Survivors include her son, Mark Fish (Jennifer) of Edmond, OK; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Bennett (Matt) of Orlando, FL, and Olivia Voutour (Ryan) of Tehachapi, CA; and two great-grandsons, Caleb Bennett and Shepherd Bennett of Orlando, FL.

Penwell-Gable has handled the arrangements, and no services have been planned.
