Jacqueline Ham Weber

Jacqueline Ham “Jackie” Weber, 83, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at a local hospital.

Jackie was born April 12, 1943 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the daughter of Artemus Ham, Jr. and Doris (Rice) Ham. She was raised in Las Vegas, and graduated from Las Vegas High School. She attended Arizona State University studying elementary education, leaving to raise her family in the Phoenix area, then in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she worked in retail and office management.

In the early ‘80s she moved to Topeka, Kansas where she lived until her passing. She enjoyed playing tennis and for years was a member of the Wood Valley Tennis Club. She was a regular at Topeka Civic Theatre. In her later years, Jackie was a social bridge player, regularly sharing cards, meals, and camaraderie with friends. She will be well remembered for her sharp wit, unfiltered personality, and cheeky attitude. Her three ex-husbands would attest to this, except she outlived them all!

She was preceded in death by her parents, niece Jeanne (Pressman) Fleckner, and, as mentioned, the ex-husbands.

She is survived by son Darren Trahan, son Keith Trahan, his wife Lee (Buthod) Trahan, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and her siblings Carol Landsman (Steven), Jeanne Peto, and Art Ham, III. Also friend and care-giver Beckie Stithem, who was with Jackie almost her entire time in Topeka, and to whom the family is eternally grateful. And, of course, her constant companions, cats Nora and Lenny.

She will be interred in her home town, Las Vegas, at Palm Mortuary where rest other members of the Ham family including her father and grandparents.
