Jacob "Jake" Isaac Perron, born on January 6, 1997, in Newton, Kansas, passed away on February 27, 2026, in Topeka, Kansas. His journey through life, though far too brief, was filled with laughter, love, and a sweet and gentle spirit that touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Jacob graduated from Washburn Rural High School. He was known as a jokester, someone who loved to pull pranks and make others laugh. With a gift for bringing joy to those around him, Jacob could light up a room and create cherished memories for his friends and family. He approached life with a playful spirit and an open heart, always willing to help anyone who needed it.

His interests were as diverse as his personality. Jacob had a passion for music and books, and he relished the thrills of being an adrenaline junkie—whether it was riding roller coasters, swimming, or going on car rides and vacations. He loved spending time outdoors fishing and taking rides on the four-wheeler, coloring, swinging, and hanging out with friends at day service. Jacob took immense pride in looking sharp and dressing up, always a sight to behold, complete with his contagious smile. He cherished moments spent working alongside his dad and brother in the shop, especially when fixing up their beloved 1965 Mustang.

His nurturing spirit extended to his simple joys, like giving warm bear hugs. Jacob found joy in the smallest moments, and his laughter resonated long after he left the room.

Jacob leaves behind a loving family who flourished under his affection and enthusiasm. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Kathy Keck; brothers, Lucas Keck and Jesse Bedford; sister, Emily (Uriah) Limon; and his beloved grandmother, Roberta Doty. He is also remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom were blessed to share in his vibrant life. Jacob was preceded in death by his cherished sisters, Mireya Ann Keck and Josie Ann Keck, along with his grandparents, George and Jeanette Keck, and Robert "Bob" Doty.

A visitation for Jacob will be held on March 2, 2026, at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene in Topeka, Kansas, from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM. The celebration of his life will take place the following day, March 3, 2026, at the same church, starting at 5:30 PM.

Jacob Isaac Perron's legacy is one of joy and service, a reminder to all to cherish the bonds of family and friendship, to find humor in life's challenges, and to always lend a helping hand. His laughter and loving spirit will echo in our hearts forever.

In his honor, memorial contributions may be made to Kathy Keck in honor of the Joyful Jacob Memorial Fund and sent to Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604.
