Mary "Helen" Weaver, 89, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
Helen was born July 5, 1922, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Carmie and Arabelle (Boyll) Roll. She graduated high school in Higginsville, Missouri, in 1940. Helen married Buford Weaver on June 14, 1940, and they resided in Higginsville, Kansas City, KS, Ozawkie, and Topeka.
She worked as a bookkeeper in Kansas City and Lakewood Hills, until she retired in 1982. Helen was a member of Highland Heights Christian Church and Northeast Kansas Quilt Guild.
Helen is survived by her two sons, Rev. Richard (Joyce) Weaver of Grove, Oklahoma, and Michael G. (Linda) Weaver of Dalmeny, Saskatchewan, Canada; a sister, Norma Baird of Lawrence; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Brewster Place Chapel, Topeka. A private family inurnment will be at a later date at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Perry.
