Gladys Mae Heim, 87, of Topeka, passed away on June 22, 2024 at McCrite Plaza.
She was born on January 30, 1937 to Halver Lee and Gertrude (McCollor) Lee in Evansville, MN.
Gladys worked as a Housekeeper for Brewster Place, while working at Brewster place she made some wonderful friends that she kept with her the rest of her life.
On February 1, 1955 she married John Heim. Gladys and lived in Topeka, Kansas.
She was a member of the Kaw Valley wood carvers, we all have her carvings hanging on our walls. She also enjoyed crocheting and would make Santa Clause apples.
Gladys is survived by her daughters; Jody (Steve) Starnes, Dottie (John) Butler, sons; Scott (Janet) Heim, Lance Heim, four grandsons, two great grandsons, one great granddaughter and one great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Halver and Gertrude (McCollar) Heim, brothers; Arnold Lee, Donald Lee, Rodger Lee and sister; Rose Anne Maloney all of Minnesota.
Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2024 10:00 am in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka Shawnee County Crematory.
