Gerald Lloyd Carpenter "Jerry"

Jerry Carpenter, 82, of Topeka, KS passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026. 

He was born on October 4,1943 in Glendale, CA, the son of Sheldon and Nancy Carpenter.

He married Debra Jean Conway on November 22, 1975. 

Jerry is survived by his wife, Debbie Carpenter, sons, Colby Carpenter and Jay Carpenter, and his sisters, Barbara Faucett and Janice Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sheldon and Nancy Carpenter, and his brother, Bobby Carpenter.

When Jerry was younger, you could always find him participating with Debbie in a bowling league, or in the stands cheering his sons on in whatever sport they were playing. He was a simple man, cranky at times, but most people will remember him for his ability to make people laugh. We will miss that. Jerry loved watching westerns, and the Dallas Cowboys, he also loved eating ice cream and drinking coffee. He was semi-retired and was working as a maintenance worker before his passing.

Jerry will be truly missed by all.
