Geneva M. Darling, 99, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on May 7, 1908 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Charles and Orda Fry Cantrell. She lived most of her life in Topeka. Geneva graduated from Topeka High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Seabrook United Church of Christ and taught piano lessons for many years. Geneva married Orth Darling on June 21, 1930 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2001. Survivors include three daughters, Dolores June Krieger and husband, Jay, Carolyn Johnson and husband, Gary and Linda Reed and husband, Floyd all of Topeka, one son, Le Roy Darling and wife, Bobbie of Atlanta, GA, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at First Congregational Church. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
