G. Hoyt Moore, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 16th, 2025, at the age of 59. Leaving behind a legacy of leadership, generosity, and community impact.

Hoyt was more than a businessman – he was a builder of people and communities. Over the past 40 years, he and his devoted wife, Laurie, successfully ran four companies: Hoyt’s Truck Center, Hoyt’s Trailer Center, Hoyt’s NationaLease, and Savannah Transport. These businesses contributed to the local trade in Topeka and created countless opportunities for businesses and families across the country.

What set Hoyt apart was not just his success, but his spirit. He carried a joyous personality that lifted those around him, turning hard work into shared purpose and every moment into memories. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering optimism left a mark on everyone he met.

His commitment to giving back was as strong as his dedication to business. He devoted time, energy, and resources to organizations that strengthen the lives of young people and families in our community, including Family Service & Guidance Center, Boys & Girls Club of Topeka, and Junior Achievement. He believed investing in youth and families was the surest way to build a stronger future for all.

Those who know him best will remember his relentless work ethic, his sharp mind, and above all, his heart for people. His influence will continue to be felt through the companies he built, the community he supported, and the lives he touched.

Hoyt is survived by his loving wife, Laurie; daughter, Savannah (Brock) Falley; son, Nathan Moore; daughter, Jenna Moore; grandchildren, Lydia and Esme Falley; and sisters, Christine (Charles) Busch, Dawn Moore, and Misty Miller. He is preceded in death by his father, Garry Gerald Moore, and mother, Carolyn Kay Moore. His family takes comfort in knowing his legacy of leadership, joy, and generosity will carry forward for generations.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on August 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Topeka. A memorial service will celebrate Hoyt's life on August 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Fellowship Bible Church in Topeka.

Hoyt Moore will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for his enduring impact on those who knew him. His legacy continues through his family, friends, and the community he lovingly served.
