Eva Mae Briggs

Eva Mae (Livingston) Briggs, 83, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center. She was born on July 29, 1928 in Carbondale, Kansas to Lemuel L. and Ruth J. (McPhail) Livingston.
Eva graduated from Carbondale High School. She married George Thomas Briggs on June 5, 1952 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in 1995. She retired from Security Benefit Life Group and was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church.
Eva is survived by her children, Vicki L. Kosmala (Paul) of Topeka; Larry G. Briggs (Beth) of McPherson and Susan D. Kerr (Terry) of Topeka; her siblings, Ruth Hug of Scranton; Dean Livingston of Tucson, AZ and Jean Boggs (Robert) of Winfield, KS and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 7 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow in the Topeka Cemetery. Eva will lie in state after 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 6 where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Carpet Services at the Topeka & Shawnee Co. Public Library, 1515 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604.
