Elna M. Cobb, 93, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 06, 2012, at Aldersgate Village.
Elna was born October 3, 1918, in Minneapolis, MN, daughter of Skipper and Dodie Larsen. She graduated from Washburn High School and attended the University of Minnesota. Elna married Robert Christiansen, they divorced. She later married Martin Cobb, he passed away in 1999. Elna worked for 17 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, retiring as a claims examiner. She was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Lee's Summit, MO; VFW Auxiliary, Lee's Summit; and the Missouri Fox Trotters Horse Association.
Elna is survived by her daughter, Janice Jenkins and husband Ed, Topeka; brother, Nick Larsen and wife Sonie, Grand Rapids, MN; grandchildren, Jill Sittenauer (Kurt) and Ed Jenkins, III (Jennie Quint & daughter Abby); great-grandchildren, Will & Jake Sittenauer and Nicolas Jenkins; niece, Kristan Hastings (Tim) and nephew, Jim Larsen (Sharon Davolos & sons, Andrew & Matthew); and great-nephew, Griffie Hastings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, son, John Christiansen, daughter, Pam Christiansen Hudson, and nephew, David Larsen.
Elna was cremated; graveside services will be held this summer at Pittsville Cemetery, Pittsville, MO and this fall a service will be held in Grand Rapids, MN.
