Diane Kay Jordan

Diane Kay Jordan, born Diane Kay Young on December 9, 1960, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas.

Diane received a solid educational foundation, graduating from Wheaton High School in 1979, followed by her graduation from Missouri Southern State College in 1983. Her professional career was marked by her nearly 20 years of service with the Kansas Department of Labor.

On November 16, 1984, Diane married Michael Ray Jordan in Oklahoma. From this marriage came two children and one stepson; son, Caleb Anthony Jordan of Topeka, KS, daughter Alicia (Bryan) Kay Harris of Topeka, KS, and Christopher Ray Jordan of Pittsburg, KS.

Diane was deeply involved in her community. She was a lifelong member of Pineville Christian Church. Additionally, her affiliations included the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Grand Cross, as well as membership in the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Ray Jordan; her children, Caleb and Alicia; step-son, Christopher; her grandchildren, Brock, Augustus and Oliver (all of Pittsburg, KS), and Kaysen (of Topeka, KS) ; as well as her sisters, Yvonne M. Young of Cape Fair, MO, and Carol Sue (Lance) Young Williams of Springfield, MO.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Robert (Bob) Young (born in Holden, MO and died in Wheaton, MO) and Naomi (McLeod) Young (born in Wichita, KS and died in Springfield, MO).

A Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday December 29, 2025 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home 1321 SW 10th Ave in Topeka, KS 66604.

Interment will be held at a later date in Pineville, MO with a small graveside service for friends and family.
