Debra Kay Simmons

Debra Simmons died on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was born July 10, 1956, to Doyle and Erma Pack. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents.

Debbie is survived by son, Kevin; daughter, Krista (Brian) Williams; grandchildren, Natalee, Nicole, Konnor (Mary) and Nikki; special aunt and uncle, Ray and Sharon Pack of Salina; and cousins, other family members and many friends. She was preceded in passing by special aunts and uncles, Bud and Norma Beneda of Belleville, Don Pack of Belleville and Harold and Lois Pack of Salina, and Paul Pack of Medicine Lodge.

She graduated from Central High School in Salina, Kansas in 1974. She received an Associate of Science Degree from Washburn and a Bachelor of Business from Baker University. Debbie worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. After working at BCBS, she worked for EVCO Wholesale until her retirement.

She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66604. Her family will greet relatives and friends starting at 10:00am until the start of the service. A graveside service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka. In Debbie's honor, memorial contributions can be made to Valeo Behavioral Health.
