David Louis Staten, 86, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 at Midland Hospice.
David is survived by his devoted wife, Naoma Staten; sister, Traphenia McClelland; brother, Jessie (Casper) Miller; brother-in-laws, Frank Ross and Edward Ross and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Staten will lie in state after 10:00am Sunday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. Funeral services will be held 11:00a.m., Monday August 27, 2007 at the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
