Cynthia June Hodges, 58, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at a local hospital.
Cindy was born in Topeka on Jan. 29, 1949, the daughter of James and Eileen (Cooke) Roe.
She attended Topeka schools, graduating from Topeka West High School in 1967 and the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Geology in 1971.
Cindy was presently employed by the State of Kansas with the Kansas Health Policy Authority.
Cynthia married Robert D. Hodges in Topeka on August 19, 1972.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Bob, two daughters, Jennifer and Andrea; two grandchildren, Tara and Brendan; her mother, Eileen; a sister, Valerie (George) Carter, all of Topeka and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, James, and mother and father-in-law, Ernest and Mary Alice Hodges.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Sat., Jan. 26, 2008 at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka. Visitation will immediately follow the service at Mount Hope Chapel.
Memorial donations may be given to a Scholarship Fund for Cindy's grandchildren in C/O Capitol Federal Savings, 29th & Wanamaker, Topeka, KS, 66614.
Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is handling the arrangements.
