Cheryl Ann Winn, 79, of Berryton, passed away on July 29, 2023 at Lexington Park Nursing Center, Topeka, Kansas.

She was born on September 21, 1943 to Ray and Ruth (Smith) Scoggin at Wymore, Nebraska.

Cheryl worked as a social worker and specialized in working with the elderly in the Fort Worth, Texas area.

She married Gary June 6, 1964. They moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he practiced anesthesiology, then settled in Fort Worth. They adopted son Mike, and quickly became pregnant with son James. Later in life Michael was a caregiver to Cheryl.

Cheryl is survived by her brother Gary Scoggin and his wife Donna. Grandson Logan and wife Kristen. Granddaughters Libby, Lisa, and Jennifer Winn. Nephew Kenwood Scoggin and wife Karen. Nephew Neal Scoggin and wife Janice. Niece Nancy Marston and husband Ray. Sister in Law Mabel Jean Scoggin.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Gary Winn, parents; Ray Scoggin, Ruth Scoggin, sons; James Richard Win, Michael Ellis Winn, and brother; Dean Scoggin.

Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas.

Burial will take place at a later date at Laurel Land Cemetery, Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
