Charles Ray "Joe" Abbey

Charles Ray "Joe" Abbey, 87, of Topeka, passed away on August 13, 2024.
He was born February 9,1937 in Mountain View Mo. to A.C "Pal" and Ida (Becker) Abbey.
He Married Patricia L. Conway February 9, 1958.
Joe worked for Bob Florence Contractors for 40 years and was a member of Local Union 2014.
He was also a member of Potwin Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon.
Joe spent his off-time building, repairing and remodeling anything and everything at his home, the Church or any project his friends might have. He was never one to sit for long and never turned down a request for help.
Survivors include, wife; Pat, sons; Charlie (Joanie) Abbey, Seneca, Ks. and Mark Abbey, Topeka, Ks. seven grandchildren; Brycen, Karli, Lauren, Tegan, Tatum, Ella, and Marley, Three great grandchildren; Alayna, Henton and Kord.
He is preceded in death by his son; Darren, four brothers; Bob, George, Don, and Roy; two sisters; Nancy and Betty, he also leaves behind many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel 1321 SW 10th Ave. Topeka, Ks. 66604 from 5pm - 7pm Monday August 19, 2024
Funeral services will be held a Potwin Presbyterian Church 400 Washburn Ave. Topeka, Ks. 66606 at 10:30am with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave. Topeka, Ks. 66606.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Potwin Presbyterian Church, 400 SW Washburn Ave, Topeka, KS 66606 or Falley Scout Reservation Camp Jayhawk, 1020 SE Monroe Street, Topeka, KS 66612-1110
