Brad Hiebsch

May 12, 1954 — September 28, 2022

Brad Hiebsch, 68, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandpa (Papa) passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 after a hard fought two year battle with cancer.

Brad was born May 12, 1954 to Charles and Bonnie (Burgoyne) Hiebsch. He was a lifelong Topekan and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1972. After graduation Brad was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone as an un-located lineman, where he traveled to many parts of the country. In 1985 Brad began employment with Northern Telecom/GENBAND, where he spent the next 31 years in Telecommunications. Brad retired in 2016 as the Project Coordinator for Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Iowa.

On May 5, 1984, Brad married Becky (Meier) Hiebsch and together they were blessed with three wonderful children, Audrie, Adam, and Adrienne Hiebsch. They shared four beautiful grandkids, Kaylyn, Jase, Savanna, and Madelyn.

Brad loved his family dearly. He showed his love in many ways, be it with his many words of wisdom, his good advice, or his caring acts. He was always trying to better everyone's lives. Brad believed actions spoke louder than words and his actions spoke volumes to his family and friends. Brad was always quick to lend a helping hand to someone in need, especially to his family and friends near and far. Brad believed you should live your life by example. He always wanted you to do your best, help others, appreciate all you've been given, and to slow down and enjoy the moments. Brad enjoyed when his family gathered and wanted nothing more than to watch his family continue to grow through the years.

Brad is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and brother, Steve Hiebsch.
