Beverly J. Haan, 76, of Topeka, formerly of Hartford, S.D., passed away Friday, March 16, 2012.
She was born February 20, 1935, in Hartford, SD, the daughter of Eisse J. and Millie E. (Matthies) Haan.
Beverly gracefully overcame the challenges of disability throughout her life. She was a loyal caregiver to her parents, and a loving sister. When given the chance, Bev never let obstacles hold her back and she succeeded in the workforce and in living independently. Her determination and compassion will be fondly remembered.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Harlan, Lawrence, and Kenny, and seven sisters; Vera Beckfield, Blanche Peterson, Marcene Haan, Shirley Flock, Lila Rolfson, Elaine Lofswold and Mary Butterfield.
Interment will be at a later date at Hartford Cemetery, Hartford, S.D.
