Audrey Marie Chestnut

Audrey Marie Chestnut, 100, of Topeka, passed away on February 5, 2026 at Midland Care Hospice House.

She was born on October 13, 1925 to Clyde and Laura (McCaig) Yarger in Centralia, Kansas.

Audrey worked as a Secretary for Trinity Presbyterian Church for over 14 years.

On August 21, 1948 she married Glenn Chestnut. Audrey and Glenn lived in Topeka, Kansas.

She was a long time member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where she was the Church Secretary, she was also a Den Mother for Boy Scouts, as well as a member of the Stormont Vail Auxiliary.

Audrey is survived by her sons, Jon K. Chestnut, Gayle K. Chestnut, grandsons; Matt (Kristi) Campbell, Joe (Amy) Campbell, great grandchildren; Crew, Dax and Eleanor Campbell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; Clyde Yarger, mother; Laura Yarger, sisters; Fern Weyer, Wilma Boeding, Hazel Hoffman, Leota Matthews, Erma Gandy, Mildred Chatham, brother; Earl Yarger, and daughter in-law; Laurie Chestnut.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, 10:00 am at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Topeka, Kansas.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, 11:00 am at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4746 SW 21st St, Topeka, KS 66604, with Rev. Meredith Kemp-Pappan, officiating.

Committal will take place following the funeral service at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auburn Rd, Topeka, KS 66615.
