Ann Elizabeth Mehrhof, 63, of Kansas City Missouri, passed away September 29, 2025, at her home. She was born March 6, 1962, to Ruth Mehrhof and Dr. Edward Mehrhof in Rochester, New York.
Ann grew up in Topeka Kansas and graduated from Topeka High School.
Ann received a Bachelor of Science, Nursing in 1985 from the University of Rochester and her Master of Science, Nursing, Primary Care in 1992.
Ann started her nursing career at Rochester Medical Center in 1985 as a Hematology/Oncology Special Project Nurse until 1992.
She was a Hemophilia Outreach Nurse for the Kansas Dept of Health and Environment 1992 until December of 1995.
Ann retired from Children’s Mercy Hospital in April of 2024, after more than 28 years of dedicated service to the Division of Hematology/Oncology. Ann worked at Children’s Mercy as a Hemophilia Nurse Coordinator for 10 years, a Clinical Research Coordinator with the Sickle Cell team for 17 years, and a CRC in the Hematology Sector for one year.
Ann was a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Children’s Oncology Group, Heartland Association of Research Professions and the National Hemophilia Foundation.
Ann is survived by her mother; Ruth Mehrhof Topeka, her father Dr. Edward Mehrhof (Barbara) Homer, NY, brother Craig (Pam) Mehrhof Lake Wabaunsee; and brother Brad Mehrhof Topeka.
Ann was an enthusiastic and loyal KC Chief’s and KC Royal’s Fan. She loved to knit, crafts of any kind, and quilt. For many years she enjoyed golf and tennis. She loved her daily walks around the college near where she lived and being outdoors.
She enjoyed spending time at Lake Wabaunsee with her family, boating, walking, and just relaxing.
She was a good friend to many, especially Mary and Lois, whom she spent a lot of time with after her retirement. Ann remembered everyone’s special occasions, she was always there for her friends and family. She was very giving, cheerful, kind, funny and caring person.
