Listen to Obituary

Our beloved Alexander Clay, was tragically taken from us on September 7th, 2026.

Alexander Clay Honea came into the world on his own terms on September 27th, 2016. Two hours after his twin brother arrived. He was well worth the wait!

Alexander attended Northern Hills Elementary school and had just started 4th grade. He loved bubbles, marbles, all things outer space, playing and exploring outside. He loved the Solar system and Earth was his favorite planet "because I live there."

He gave the best hugs and loved showing affection. He loved rainbows and would correct you if you got the order wrong.

Referred to as Squirrel by Dad, Alex had a special way of connecting to those who loved him.

He was always the first to give Mom a hug and was a very affectionate soul. Alexander's hugs and kisses were one of a kind.

9 years of loving Alexander will never be enough.

Alexander is survived by his twin brother Benjamin, Mother and Father Susan and Aaron Honea. Sister Tiffany Mccroy, brother Derek Vaudrin, Niece Miyanna, and nephew Dean. Grandparents: Grandma Rita Keehn and Nana Claudia Honea. Aunts: Karen Keehn and Nadena Honea, Uncles: Shawn (Lynnette) Honea, Stephen (Lindsey) Honea. Numerous cousins, and extended family.

Family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Topeka Police and Fire departments, the three courageous and brave bystanders for going above and beyond. Your brave actions and caring hearts do not go unnoticed.
