Dana Harris Bloom, 57, of Tecumseh, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014.

Dana was born on February 18, 1957 in Kansas City, KS to Floyd Burton and Myrl (Harris) Bloom. He attended Topeka High School.

He worked for Halls Lithographing Company for 12 years and UCB-Innovia, where he held several positions over a 20 year span.

Dana enjoyed fishing, gardening, and he loved to cook. He studied astrology and he had a large telescope. He enjoyed traveling, especially the National Parks of America. He enjoyed hiking at Lake Perry, where he would occasionally take his family. Dana was a bird watcher and had numerous bird feeders in his yard. He enjoyed playing and coaching baseball.

Dana was married to Dianna Corona (Foster) on November 1, 1995 in Topeka, KS.

Survivors include his wife, Dianna Bloom of Tecumseh; a daughter, Amy Vest of Wichita; 4 sisters, Sheryl (Lawrence) Petry, Roxy Corber, Karen Mulanax, Tara Bloom; 2 brothers, Steven Bloom and Mark Bloom as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Bloom.

Dana’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka.
