Camille Boyce Hale, 70, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023.

She was born December 13, 1952, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Bud Forbes and Anna Fudge. Camille went to Topeka West High School. She later attended Florissant Valley Community College and earned an Associate’s Degree.

Camille was employed by Archway Communities as a Substance Abuse Counselor. She helped numerous people and took pride in her work. She retired in 2001.

She treasured her family and the time they spent together. Camille was truly the glue in her family. She had a special bond with her brother, Dean.

In her spare time, you would catch her sitting on her covered porch just enjoying the fresh air. She loved to garden, cook, make crafts and was always looking for a good bargain while shopping. She had a knack for traveling and treasured her yearly girls trip to New Orleans with her daughter, Chimera. Camille could find a sense of humor in any situation.

Camille married Arnold Leon Hale in St. Louis, MO on September 30,1995.

She leaves behind her husband, Arnold Hale; her children, Camron Nye, Chimera (David) Cook, Devon Byrd, Jerrad (Jennifer) Davis, Arnold Leon (Jennifer) Byrd, Jamie (Nick) Burnett and Arnold Leon (Brittany) Hale, III; her beloved grandchildren, Devon, Blaine, Jordyne, Camryn, Nathanial, Chase, Tyler, Marissa, Bailee, Essence, Nehemiah, Martiera, Aerianna and Jason and many great grandchildren; siblings, Dean (Cyndy) Forbes, Stacy Van Sickle, Larry Van Sickle, Jeanne Cuddihy and Robert Van Sickle. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lestarza Neal and grandson, Andre Jones.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am., Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. Her family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.
