Edward Eugene Alexander, 85 of Topeka, KS passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Edward was born on May 6, 1938, to parents Earl and Anna Mae Alexander. After graduating from Highland Park High School, he went on to graduate from Washburn University. Edward enlisted in the Marine Reserves for six years and retired from Menninger’s Hospital after over 40 years as a Recreational Therapist, he was also a group therapist.

Edward always entered a room with a smile, kindness, and humor. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Edward was predeceased by his parents Earl and Ann Mae Alexander and his sisters Norma Lewis and Earlene Redmon.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Alexander, they shared 64 years of marriage; his two children, Cheryl Ray-Alexander and Tamara Alexander, both of Topeka; one grandchild, Amber Ray-Pelan; and great-grandchildren TJ and Brielle; one brother Allan Alexander (Leigh), and one sister, and Marion Atkinson, all of Topeka.

There will be a private celebration of life for immediate family and close friends. No formal funeral or memorial services will be held, as Edward requested.
