Cecilia C. Kinder, 85, Topeka, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023.
She was born December 26, 1937, in Nemaha County, Kansas, the daughter of Alphonse and Barbara (Berger) Wilhelm. She graduated from Kelly High School in 1955.
Cecilia was bookkeeper at Manpower in Topeka, retiring after 20 years.
She was a member of the Lowman United Methodist Church.
Cecilia married Gerald Dean “Bud” Kinder on January 12, 1957 in Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2020. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Mary Glissman, Jeanette Bandel, and Gilbert Wilhelm.
Survivors include her three children, Randy (Marsha) Kinder, Dan (Malesa) Kinder, and Vicky (Kevin) Nelson; two sister, Bea Julius and Laura Moran; four grandchildren, Tyler Kinder, Emily Bonilla, Aaron Nelson, and Taylor Nelson; two great-grandchildren, Bennett & Nora Bonilla.
Cecilia loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. She also enjoyed gardening, which she always included her grandchildren with.
Memorial services will be 10:30 am Friday, June 16, 2023 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Mid-Town Chapel. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
