In Memory Of
Jean Worth Abbe
1937 - 2022

Jean Worth Abbe, age 87 was born on 12/31/1935 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Richard and Kathleen Abbe. She attended OU and received her Master’s Degree from Weslyn College, in 1996 from Bartsville, Oklahoma.

Jean worked with Dr. Nutting in an office for Orthodontic Surgeons located in San Diego, CA.

In 1965 Jean married Phillip Ray Wood Sr. and they raised two sons, Phillip and Brian Wood.

Jean had a passion for photography and made a living doing it for several years. Her artistic abilities were endless and she made several items for church charities including lap blankets, quilts, scarves, baby booties, sweaters and hats.

She also enjoyed her two “kids” Dickens and Elsie, her beloved cats.

She is survived by her sons Phillip and Brian.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents Kathleen and Richard Abbe and her grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Bellen

A memorial service will be held on August 4th, 2022 in the Chapel at Penwell-Gabel from 5-7pm.

She didn’t want a big fuss made after her passing however the family would like to give those who knew and loved Jean an opportunity to say their goodbyes and share their memories of her.

She will be remembered as the sweetest, kindest, most down to Earth, intelligent and fun loving person with incredible compassion. She will be missed so much.
